APPLE PIE BARS (HEALTHIER)

INGREDIENTS

  • Crust:

    • 2 cups of almond flour

    • 2 tbsp of coconut flour

    • dash of salt

    • 1/3 cup of melted coconut oil

    • 1/3 cup or maple syrup

    • 1 tsp of vanilla

  • Filling:

    • 3 medium-sized apples, chopped

    • 1 tsp of cornstarch

    • 2 tbsp maple syrup

    • 2 tbsp coconut sugar

    • cinnamon (measure with your heart)

    • dash of salt and vanilla

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper.

  • Mix all your crust ingredients until it forms a dough. Press evenly into your pan and bake for 20 minutes until lightly golden brown.

  • While your crust bakes, mix all your filling ingredients until all the apples are well coated.

  • When your crust is done, pour your filled over and bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes until your apples have softened and started to bubble.

  • Optional: mix Greek yogurt and maple syrup together and drizzle over the top!
